Day centres and social care
We want to work directly with day centres and social care teams to arrange the transport that gets people to and from the support they already rely on.
What it is
Many of the people Community Ride Hub hopes to help attend a day centre, lunch club or social care setting regularly. This service is transport arranged between Community Ride Hub and the centre or social care team on behalf of the people they support, rather than something a member books for themselves.
Who it is for
Older people and disabled adults attending a day centre, and people supported by a social care team who need reliable transport as part of their care arrangements.
If you work for a day centre or social care team
This is the route we expect most people to come through. If you are a manager, coordinator or social worker looking to discuss transport for the people you support, please contact us directly rather than asking individuals to register on their own — it lets us plan properly around your service's routine and numbers.
How it would work
- Community Ride Hub would agree a regular or occasional transport arrangement directly with the centre or team
- Journeys would be planned around the centre's opening times and attendee needs
- The centre or team would usually coordinate day-to-day changes with Community Ride Hub, rather than each individual doing so separately
- Individuals attending would still need to be, or become, Community Ride Hub members
Cost
Arrangements with day centres and social care teams would be run on a cost-recovery basis, agreed directly with the partner organisation. The exact contribution structure is [TBC] and will depend on the arrangement agreed.

Community Ride Hub is preparing to operate. No day centre transport arrangements are running yet, and this page does not offer or guarantee any transport.
