We are not taking full membership for travel yet — you can still register your need
Become a member
Membership is how you join Community Ride Hub so we can give you rides safely. You do not need to understand the legal detail — we will guide you.
This is not a booking service yet
Community Ride Hub is preparing to operate. This page describes a proposed service. Journeys cannot yet be arranged, and nothing here is an offer of transport.
Start here — pick who you are
I need transport
Tell us where you struggle to get to. We will keep your details and get in touch when we can help.
I’m helping someone else
Family, friend or carer? You can register a need or help them apply — with their okay.
I’m a doctor or professional
GP, nurse, social worker, OT, school or day centre? Refer someone with their consent.
What membership means (simply)
To use Community Ride Hub, you join as a member first. That tells us who you are, how to contact you, and what help you need getting in and out of a vehicle.
For Community Ride Hub Connect, membership contributions and journey charges have not been set. Concession membership is for people on a low income. Its contribution has not been set either.
Membership lets you ask for journeys. It does not mean unlimited trips whenever you like — we share vehicles and stay fair when we are busy.
This is passenger membership, not company membership
Joining to use our transport makes you a passenger member. It is separate from being a member of Community Ride Hub Limited the company: it does not give you a vote at general meetings, and it does not ask you to guarantee anything if the company closes. That is set out in Article 8.3 of our Articles of Association.

Choose your membership
Four proposed memberships. Each one opens up different services and comes with its own member benefits.
Connect Membership
Not set yet
Our main passenger membership. It lets you request shared, door-to-door Community Ride Hub Connect journeys once the service is running.
Concession Membership
Not set yet
For people on a low income who need it most. It comes with stricter rules so that help reaches the right people. The contribution has not been set.
Referred Membership
Paid by referrer
For people whose transport is arranged through a partner. The partner agrees in writing to pay the membership and the journeys its programme covers.
Group Membership
Not set yet
Membership for organisations. It lets your group request Accessible Group Transport within our section 19 permit.
How joining will work
Step 1
Check if Community Ride Hub is for you
If buses or trains are hard because of disability, age or similar reasons, you may be able to join. If you are not sure, just ask us.Step 2
Tell us about yourself
Name, contact details, how you get around, and someone we can call in an emergency. A carer or professional can help.Step 3
We confirm your membership
We will say yes (or explain if we cannot help yet) and tell you about the Connect and Concession membership options.Step 4
Ask for journeys when we are running
Once the service is live, you request a ride. We say honestly if we can do it that day.
